IN THE CLOUDS
Mount Buller is a small mountain of 1,805 meters. For Australia, it’s high mountain. It is also part of the great chain of mountains spreading from Melbourne to Canberra and considered as the Australian Alps. Several ski resorts dot the mountains enjoying the few inches of snow falling every year.
I have always loved the winter climate and the atmosphere of the ski resorts. So, at the beginning of June 2018, I found myself working at Mont Buller. For two months I lived and worked on Mont Buller ski slopes. The resort is very small, the snow average at best, the atmosphere has nothing to do with that of our French ski resorts, the work was quite boring and the weather was bad half of the season. But I was so happy to find the snow again. And the clouds associated with extraordinary sunrises and sunsets offered me beautiful landscapes despite sometimes difficult photographic conditions.
